The frauds are carried out in such a way that the perpetrators require from the subjects who have active items for sale on the OLX.ba platform to provide them with data on their payment cards for non-cash payment (card number, CVC code, etc.) to pay for shipping costs. The perpetrators pretend to be from different cities of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and use online communication applications such as "WhatsApp" to communicate. On that occasion, they use different methods of misleading. We warn citizens to protect their personal data and not to send data on payment cards to unknown persons via the online platform, and to contact the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska in case of suspicion of fraud.
