NEW LOCATION FOR MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION

          Today, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, and head of Banja Luka Police Administration, Mr Đurica Vukelić, opened a new location for motor vehicle registration at Lauš Police Station.
          At the new location, two counters will be active for motor vehicle registration for agencies dealing with vehicle registration.
           Minister Karan said this was the third location for motor vehicle registration in Banja Luka, in addition to the existing counters in Starčevica borough and the central unit, located within Banja Luka PA.         
               He added that Banja Luka was the largest city in the Republic of Srpska, and that the number of registered motor vehicles and issued personal documents was in constant growth of 5% to 7% every year. Out of 800,000 of personal documents made on the territory of the Republic of Srpska during the period of first 10 months this year, 224,000 of them were for the territory of Banja Luka. When it comes to motor vehicle registration, around 124,000 registrations were performed in Banja Luka.
                The new counters for motor vehicle registration will work on week days from 7 AM to 8 PM. 
                Lauš Police Station covers the territory of 873 km2, with the population of 90,000.
