PREVENTIVE ACTIVITIES OF THE MINISTRY ON THE OCCASION OF MARKING THE WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY

In Banja Luka, on 23 and 24 November, on the occasion of marking the World Children’s Day, the members of the Unit for countering high-tech crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior held several lectures for sixth-grade students of ‘Georgi Stojkov Rakovski’ primary school. The topic of these lectures was ‘Children in digital age and online violence’, and on this occasion, education materials and presents were distributed to students.

The lectures on the topic will also be organised in certain primary schools throughout the Republic of Srpska, and the aforementioned activities are supported by ‘Atos’ bank from Banja Luka.

As a part of taking care of security of our youngest citizens online, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior dedicated the whole week to children and children’s rights by marking relevant international dates, such as: 18 November – European Day on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse; 19 November –World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse; and 20 November - World Children’s Day.

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior would like to congratulate the World Children’s Day and remind the public that it is necessary to undertake joint activities for protecting children from all forms of abuse and exploitation.
