PREPARATIONS FOR CELEBRATING THE 9TH OF JANUARY – THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA DAY

Today, the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Siniša Karan, attended the session of the HQ for the security operation ‘The Republic of Srpska Day 2024’, where the measures of the Ministry of the Interior referring to celebrating the 9th of January – the Republic of Srpska Day 2024 were defined. The points of the meeting were related to the organization of the festive parade, as well as the management of all aspects of the security of the events that are going to be held on that occasion.
The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, as the manager of the HQ, stated that the Ministry was undertaking the planned and increased security measures on the occasion of celebrating the 9th of January with the aim of maintaining favourable security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.
Minister Karan pointed out that all security measures should be undertaken so the planned events could pass without incidents, and invited the citizens of the Republic of Srpska to attend the central event of celebration of the Republic of Srpska Day – the parade that was going to be held on the 9th of January in Banja Luka.
