MEMBERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR PARTICIPATED IN THE CEREMONIAL PARADE ON THE OCCASION OF 9TH JANUARY – THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA DAY

       Members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior participated today in the Ceremonial Parade on the occasion of 9 January – the Republic of Srpska Day, held in Banja Luka.
     The total number of about 3,400 members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, representatives of the civil sector, various republic administrations, associations and organisations participated in the Ceremonial Parade.
     The President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Milorad Dodik, stated today that Serbian people had the right to mark the Republic of Srpska Day, and that everybody who tried to deny this right to them would fail.
      ‘The people of the Republic of Srpska are great’, Mr Dodik said to the participants of the ceremonial parade in Banja Luka and thanked to everybody who attended the event.
       ‘Those who are hoping that the Republic of Srpska would seize to exist should be with us these days. We know that some people say that what we show here is not much, and I say to them that this is everything’, Dodik said and added that the Republic of Srpska was not interested in conflicts or involvement in them.
       The Ceremonial Parade consisted of the civil sector echelons as well as the echelons of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. The civil sector participated with 56 echelons, whereas the Ministry participated with the Flag platoon, 14 unit echelons and eight motorized echelons.
     Out of 56 echelons of the civil sector, 20 echelons consisted of the members of organisations and associations whose members gave immeasurable contribution to creating and defending the Republic of Srpska, but also those who defended our people from the occupiers in WWII.
       The members of the High School of Internal Affairs participated in the echelons for the first time.
In addition to the President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Milorad Dodik, the Parade was also attended by the Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, the Serb Member of the BIH Presidency, Ms Željka Cvijanović, and other officials and citizens of the Republic of Srpska.
     The whole Ceremonial parade was accompanied by the appropriate music performed by the Police orchestra of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
