MINISTER KARAN AND DIRECTOR KOSTREŠEVIĆ WITH THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF VIŠEGRAD

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, held a meeting with the Municipal Mayor of Višegrad, Mr Mladen Đurđević, during their visit to Višegrad.
They agreed that the security situation of the territory of this municipality was favorable, as well as the cooperation between the police and the local community.
Mayor Đurđević pointed out the importance of the video surveillance system established on the territory of the municipality in the framework of the RS MoI project ”Safe City”, which yielded positive results in terms of general prevention and improvement of tourism, having in mind that more than 400,000 tourists visit Višegrad every year.
Minister Karan emphasized the importance of developing this security system, since Višegrad is a border municipality and therefore faces many security challenges, including the migrant issues and similar ones.
