The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the competent prosecutors’ offices in the Republic of Srpska will undertake all the necessary measures and actions in order to prevent and sanction law violations of the election process during the local elections scheduled for October 6th.
During the meeting held by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, and the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Srpska, Ms Željka Radović, it was agreed to engage on duty teams consisting of prosecutors and police officers who would react to any report about the commission of a criminal offence, respond on the spot and conduct an investigation.
They invited the citizens to report any irregularities, offering money or threats to vote for someone or not to vote to the police.
Director Kostrešević said that the HQ of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior ‘ELECTIONS 2024’ was in charge of the security situation in the period before, after and during the elections. He reminded the public that the police will be in the vicinity of each polling station and that the citizens may report any suspicious actions to the police on the spot.
THE POLICE AND PROSECUTORS’ OFFICES IN SRPSKA ARE READY TO RESPOND TO ANY ELECTORAL IRREGULARITIES
