CONTRACTS SIGNED WITH THE CADETS OF THE 27TH CLASS OF POLICE ACADEMY

Today, at the ceremony organised by the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, contracts were signed with the cadets of the 27th class of the Unit for Police Training – Police Academy. Thus, the total number of 198 cadets officially started their training.
The ceremony of signing contracts with the cadets was attended by the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević.
At the ceremony, Minister Karan pointed out that the Ministry of the Interior was continuously improving the training of new police officers with the aim of having highly proficient police staff that would be a strong pillar and guarantee of security for all citizens, and the constitutional order of the Republic of Srpska.
‘Today, the Republic of Srpska is exposed to different types of threats, so the main task of the police forces is to keep the general framework called the Republic of Srpska’, Minister Karan said.
He added that at the moment, the Police Academy and the High School of Internal affairs was attended by approximately 1,000 potentially new police members.
The head of the Administration for Police Education of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr Mile Šikman, said that the curriculum for the cadets of the 27th class had been updated.
‘They are going to attend their training in accordance with the curriculum that includes the subject courses, modular classes, and classes of theory for the period of 10 months, with practical and situational classes included’, Mr Šikman said.
Ms Milana Marinković, a cadet from Drvar, said that it was her goal to serve honourably to the Republic of Srpska as a member of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
The ceremony at the lecture hall of the Administration for Police Education within the Training Centre of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in Zalužani, Banjaluka, started with a minute of silence for 782 fallen members of the Ministry of the Interior who gave their lives for the Republic of Srpska during the Homeland-defensive war.
