Today, in Banja Luka, the members of the Unit for countering high-crime and operative technique received acknowledgements signed by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Director for cooperating and contributing to the international actions for countering high-tech crime. On this occasion, Minister of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior has been cooperating with FBI for many years and that these acknowledgements were very important, not just for the police officers, but for the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior as a whole. ’’We have excellent police officers who are experts for cyber crime. FBI recognized this and, as a result, we intensively cooperate in the fight against cyber crime on global level’’, Mr Lukač stated. Head of the Unit for countering high-crime, Mr Dražen Višnjić, who received acknowledgement from the FBI legal attaché, Mr John Bivona on behalf of the Director of FBI, said that more significant actions were previously performed, and one of the bigger ones was the last year international action ’’Port Royale’’, which resulted in arresting dozens of criminals, then ’’Andromeda’’ action, and many others.      ’’We investigate and prosecute criminals from our region who commit criminal offences here and abroad, criminals from abroad who commit criminal offences in the Republic of Srpska and the criminals who, using infrastructure of our country, commit criminal offences in  a third country ’’, Mr Višnjić explained.
