The Republic of Srpska

Within international operation, whose code name is ‘Crown’, directed against larger number of persons suspected of committing several criminal offences in the field of organized crime, police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior arrested eight persons on the territory of BIH, whereas three persons were arrested in Croatia and two in Slovenia. With the aim of finding persons and items related to criminal offences they are suspected of committing, as a part of investigation, searches were performed on eight locations in the Republic of Srpska (four in Banja Luka, two in Gradiška, and two in the town of Srbac), one in the Federation of BIH (municipality of Sanski Most), three in Croatia, and two in Slovenia. These events represent the realization of the investigation that has been implemented for a few months now by the Unit for countering organized crime, Crime police administration of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The investigation proved that persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina enabled several persons from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria and other countries to obtain original biometric passports and identity cards of BIH by stealing identity from persons who moved from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to countries such as Australia, Canada, etc. During searches, weapons were found and seized, as well as many forged documents, mobile phones, SIM cards, computer and photographic equipment, etc. Note: Video of one of the searches may be downloaded from Youtube channel of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior after 3 pm.
