In coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is conducting an international action whose code name is ‘Transit’ based on suspicion that a group of people was continuously performing criminal offences in the field of organized crime related to the criminal offences of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs from the territory of Montenegro into the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, police officers from PSC Banja Luka and Trebinje performed searches on ten locations on the territory of the towns of Banja Luka and Trebinje with the aim of finding persons and items related to committing the aforementioned criminal offences. The Unit for countering organized crime, Crime police administration of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH, has been implementing the action for several months now. In all the activities so far, 11 kg of skunk were seized, as well as a few digital scales, larger amount of money, SIM cards for mobile phones, etc. The interrogation of persons that were arrested today is in progress.
