THE ELECTION DAY IN THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA PASSED PEACEFULLY

On the day of local elections in BIH, before closing voting stations,  nine incidents were reported to the headquarters of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior ‘’Elections 2016’’,  following and undertaking measures and activities for the purpose of maintaining stable security situation in the Republic of Srpska, and these incidents are the following: -          At 8:35 a.m., in the municipality of Lopare, an election observer of the SNS political party, the person whose initials are D.M., pushed the deputy of the major of the municipality, Mr. Ranko Todorović, who was visiting the voting station. A police officer delivered a minor offence warrant to D.M., in compliance with the Article 12 of the Law on Public Order and Peace of the Republic of Srpska. -          At 8:55 a.m., in Lišnja, the municipality of Prijedor, police officers removed the person whose initials are E.P.  who disturbed the voting at voting location. -          From 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., a voting location in Turić, the municipality of Pelagićevo, was closed due to disturbance of public peace and order, and the person whose initials are N. L. was arrested and the minor offence warrant was delivered to them for committing the minor offence from Articles 7 and 24 of the Republic of Srpska Law on Public Order and Peace. -          Police officers of the Bijeljina Public Security Center in cooperation with the Administration for Countering Organized and Serious Crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior,  obtained operative information that a certain group of persons gave their identity cards for the compensation, such as providing goods or money, in order to provide votes for the certain candidates at local elections. Certain number of persons was identified in whose possession a large number of identity cards was found and they were temporarily seized. The criminal processing of persons is in progress for the purpose of recording the criminal case ‘’Bribery During Elections or Voting’’, Article 189 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Srpska. The authorized Prosecutor’s Office in Bijeljina was informed about the above-mentioned event.
