The Republic of Srpska

Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Dragan Lukač, held the Second Staff Meeting of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior at which the activities of the Ministry from the previous period were discussed as well as the possibilities to improve them in future. The President and members of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly Security Board were also present at the meeting. The participants of the meeting estimated that security situation in the Republic of Srpska is on a satisfactory level. Minister Lukač confirmed that there were no indications on possible incidents at the commemoration in Srebrenica, and that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was undertaking all measures so that, just like last year, everything goes well at the gathering in Srebrenica on 11 July this year. Additionally, Minister Lukač said that this type of meeting with the members of the Security Board would contribute to the better realization of activities of the Ministry of the Interior, and expressed his readiness to cooperate with other security agencies and institutions regarding information exchange with the aim of raising security level of citizens.
