Head of administration

Dragan Jevđenić was born on August 31, 1975, in Banja Luka. He completed the Secondary School of Internal Affairs in 1995, when he also began his employment at the Čelinac Police Station as a policeman. He graduated from the Police Academy in Belgrade in 1999, earning the academic title of a graduated police officer. In the previous period, he held the positions of commander of the Čelinac Police Station, commander of the Obilićevo Police Station, commander of the Lazarevo Police Station, head of the Department in the Criminal Police Administration, head of the Unit for the Fight Against Organized Crime in the Criminal Police Administration, head of the Police Administration, and head of the Service for Protection of Integrity and Legality in the Work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. By the decision of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Srpska, and based on the Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Srpska, he was appointed as the Acting Director of the Penal and Correctional Facility Banja Luka in 2020. He returned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska in 2023 as an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs. Since December 2, 2024, he has been serving as the head of the Police Support Administration.

  • Enhancing lawful conduct and the work of organizational segments of the Ministry through support to all lines of work, as well as direct involvement in the most complex operational actions, processing, and other activities within the scope of work;
  • Performing specific operational and instructional tasks;
  • On the director's orders, visiting organizational units and sectors to acquaint the leadership with the director's directives and decisions, as well as conducting control and supervisory tasks related to the implementation of the director's decisions;
  • Engaging in preventive educational activities;
  • Monitoring the application of regulations in the field of police work;
  • Coordinating between police organizational units to unify and provide guidance, suggestions, and opinions on drafts and proposals of legal and sublegal acts of importance for the functioning of the police;
  • Providing expert legal assistance in the direct execution of police work and the exercise of authority;
  • Directing and organizing cooperation between the police, state authorities, local government bodies, NGOs, civic associations, and other entities to raise the level of citizen and property safety;
  • Participating and facilitating the process of harmonizing the implementation of projects and actions to improve the efficiency and results of police work;
  • Conducting oversight and control tasks;
  • Monitoring the legality and instructively guiding tasks and assignments in the field of criminalistics, counter-diversion protection, and pyrotechnics;
  • Studying, finding, improving, and applying scientific and technical methods and means;
  • Participating in the development and implementation of equipment programs; monitoring the state of equipment and technical means and ensuring timely equipment of criminalistics and counter-diversion protection services;
  • Preparing guidelines, instructions, and other guiding acts regulating work and procedures;
  • Collecting and processing information on all manifestations of criminality, especially high-tech crime and organized crime, illicit drug production and trafficking;
  • Planning and conducting proactive and reactive collection, assessment, and analysis of intelligence data;
  • Directing, supervising, and coordinating operational activities in data collection, analyzing collected data, and operationally guiding their use;
  • Providing recommendations for further measures and actions;
  • Cooperating with other organizational units;
  • Maintaining prescribed records and implementing data protection measures;
  • Conducting criminal-intelligence data collection for individuals for whom there is knowledge that they are perpetrators of criminal offenses or are linked to the commission of criminal offenses, as well as for individuals who are subjects of criminal investigation in accordance with the Law on Criminal Procedure;
  • Acting in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the orders of courts and prosecutors;
  • Cooperating with other state administration bodies and police services of other countries in criminal-intelligence work;
  • Participating in the selection and implementation of training for police officers in criminal-intelligence work and undercover investigations;
  • Participating in the legend-making of investigators and providing them with logistical support;
  • Introducing undercover investigators and informants into cases in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Criminal Procedure;
  • Providing expert assistance to police administrations, monitoring the performance of tasks in that area;
  • Participating in the development of normative acts, reports, and other professional materials;
  • Performing other tasks within its area of work.
