The Republic of Srpska

Today, in Banja Luka, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Dragan Lukač, and the Chief of Police of Brčko District, Mr. Goran Pisić, signed the Agreement on strengthening police cooperation. Minister Lukač said that this Agreement, among other things, stipulates conducting joint investigations of certain criminal offenses and forming joint investigation teams. In addition, the Agreement stipulates implementing joint training in different fields, and Minister Lukač pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is offering training at the Police Academy for the staff educated for the needs of Brčko District Police. Minister Lukač pointed out that this Agreement was similar to the Memorandum signed earlier with the Ministry of the Interior of the Federation of BiH. Chief of Brčko District Police, Mr. Goran Pisić, stressed the significance of such Agreement for improving the knowledge of their police staff, especially regarding countering high-tech crime.
