The Republic of Srpska

Yesterday and today, members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior donated blood, thus participating in a humane activity which is regularly performed in this part of the year on the whole territory of the Republic of Srpska. About 400 members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior from all Public Security Centers, who were not hindered by high temperatures or the fact that it is vacation season, donated blood. Among the volunteers who took part in the activity, there were many who donated blood more than twenty times. The activity is performed in Departments for Blood Transfusion in the cities of Banja Luka, Bijeljina, Doboj, Istočno Sarajevo, Trebinje, Prijedor, Gradiška, Zvornik, Foča and Nevesinje. On this occasion, head of General Police Unit at Uniformed Police Administration, Mr. Dragan Ćibić, said that the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior were at disposal to our citizens when additional amounts of blood are needed. The action of the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior of donating blood voluntarily is organized in order to meet the needs of the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the Republic of Srpska, and in accordance with the humane aspect of the profession.
