Police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the Republic of Serbia Ministry of the Interior solved the case of 'Serious murder' which happened on 20 August 1996 in the village of Lužani, in the municipality of Derventa, in the Republic of Srpska, BiH. Namely, yesterday, after working on this case for many years, in the village of Velika Plana, in the Republic of Serbia, police officers arrested the person those initials are D.T., born in 1950. This person is suspected of committing criminal offense of 'Serious murder'. Upon undertaking several operational and tactical measures and activities in the investigation, members of Public Security Center Doboj submitted to the District Prosecutor's Office in Doboj a request for obtaining international legal assistance for the purpose of finding the perpetrator of this criminal offense in the Republic of Serbia. The following step is submitting the criminal case from the District Prosecutor's Office in Doboj to the Higher Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, Serbia, in order to prosecute the arrested person, for whom a judge for preliminary proceedings of the District Court in Belgrade, Serbia ordered custody. The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is working intensely on solving other murders that happened several years ago, and such cases are still active which is confirmed by the activities on finding the perpetrator of this criminal offense committed 19 years ago.
