On 13 December 2015, on the territory of the municipality of Mrkonjić Grad, police officers of the Public Security Station Mrkonjić Grad and Jezero realized the action ‘Increased control of illegal weapons and ammunition owned by persons involved in hunting and poaching’ as a result of operational activities that lasted for several months and collected information on illegal possession of weapons and poaching. In this action, the following weapons were found and temporary seized from five persons whose initials are D.B. (born in 1984), M.E. (born in 1984), M.G. (1981), and R.H. (born in 1960) from Mrkonjić Grad and O.K. (born in 1978) from Jezero: 3 shotguns, 1 hunting rifle, 1 M-48 rifle as well as many bullets of different calibers, for which these persons had no appropriate documents. Having been informed about all these activities and collected evidence, the Prosecutor of the District Court Banja Luka in the branch office in Mrkonjić Grad ordered that the activities of completing the case and proving the criminal offences of ‘Illegal Manufacturing and Trade of Weapons or Explosive Substances’ and ‘Illegal hunting’ be continued and after that, the report upon finishing the investigation be submitted.
