The Republic of Srpska

Today, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior received two acknowledgements for two international actions, ‘Tower’ and ‘Mask’, from the Southeast Law Enforcement Center. Deputy Police Director of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Darko Ćulum, received these awards on behalf of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. On this occasion, Deputy Ćulum said that, in these actions, 31 people were arrested, searches were performed on 40 locations, large amounts of narcotic drugs were seized, as well as weapons, explosives, passenger and terrain vehicles, and cigarettes. The action ‘Tower’ was performed in cooperation with the Police of Montenegro, whereas in the action ‘Mask’, police agencies from Montenegro, Croatia and SELEC participated in addition to the Republic of Srpska Police. Deputy Ćulum pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in most cases cooperated with other police agencies, especially in the field of crime related to illegal production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, smuggling weapons and explosives, organized crime and cybercrime. Liaison officer of Bosnia and Herzegovina at SELEC, Mr. Adnan Mahmutović, said that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior showed they possessed knowledge and skills that enabled them to respond to contemporary challenges in countering international organized crime. In the last two years, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior also received acknowledgements from SELEC for successfully performed police actions.
