A STOLEN CAR FOUND IN ONE DAY, THANKS TO EXCELLENT COOPERATION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA POLICE AND THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA POLICE

On 17 December 2015, the police officers from Public Security Station in Gradiška, acting upon the received report that a passenger car, brand ’’Citroen C5’’, was stolen, based on the operational findings and suspicion that the criminal offence ’’Aggravated Theft’’ was committed, found and arrested a person from Gradiška, whose initials are Z.G. (born in 1967). During the criminal investigation, it was found that, on 16 December 2015, around 7:20 PM, in the village of Brestovčina, the municipality of Gradiška, the suspect stole the car, with which he then went to Belgrade, the capital of the Republic of Serbia. The car was found by the police officers from Police Administration in Voždovac, Belgrade, and will be returned to the owner. Upon the order of the Municipal Court in Gradiška, the search of houses, apartments and other buildings was performed, as well as the search of the passenger car used by the suspect. On this occasion, two mobile phones with several SIM cards of different mobile operators, hunting rifle with bullets and other items that can be related to committed criminal offences were found and confiscated. When the Prosecutor on duty of the District Prosecutor’s Office was informed about all details, it was ordered that the suspect to be released by the end of the criminal investigation and the report to be submitted in regular procedure upon closing the case.
