Yesterday, in Sarajevo, police officer Miloš Grahovac was awarded with the acknowledgement ‘Humane feat’ by the Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for saving an O.Dž. after a traffic accident. According to the details provided during the ceremony, police officer Grahovac was present on the site of the traffic accident when it occurred in the village of Šuice: the passenger car rolled over several times, and O.Dž. was unconscious. The police officer quickly provided CPR to O.Dž. and then the person started breathing. When the ambulance came, they took the person to the hospital in the town of Livno. Later, this person's spine was surgically treated in Zagreb, Croatia, but it was the police officer’s fast reaction that saved his life. The acknowledgement ‘Humane feat’ is awarded by the Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the individuals for selfless acts which, in case of a natural disaster or other accidents, saved lives or prevented more severe consequences for an individual, a group of people or a part of a local community, as well as for solidarity, bravery, and help provided.
