Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, held the Staff Meeting of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior which was rated as successful. ‘This staff meeting is an opportunity to summarize the results from the previous period and find solutions for the difficulties and challenges the Ministry faces in all aspects of their activities’, Minister Lukač said. Minister pointed out that future priority of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is employing young staff and that this was the reason why the Ministry of the Interior wanted the new provisions of the Law on the Police and the Interior to be adopted. Additionally, at the staff meeting, the necessity to provide technical equipment for the organizational units of the Ministry of the Interior was stressed as well, and these activities will start with the procurement of new equipment for traffic safety and new vehicles for the needs of Special Police Unit. On this occasion, Minister Lukač emphasized once again that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior worked in accordance with the new constitutional order and laws of the Republic of Srpska and that it was only on that basis that cooperation with other police agencies could exist and that it had to be on a professional level. Police Director of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Gojko Vasić said there had to exist complete trust among police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He pointed out that the activities of the Ministry of the Interior were all very professional, which is supported by the realized results according to which the crime rate was on a lower level.
