On 31 December 2015, around 3 PM, it was reported to the Police Station Prijedor 1 that in Akademika Jovana Raškovića Street, in Prijedor, a criminal offence ‘Aggravated theft’ was committed against an M. Č. From Prijedor. Namely, an unknown suspect came behind the back of the damaged person, who was standing in front of a kiosk in the aforementioned street, wrenched a BAM 100 bill from their hand and ran away. A police officer who was performing their tasks in the vicinity of the crime scene, reacted immediately upon realizing that a criminal offence had been committed, and started running to catch the suspect. Finally, with the help of a citizen in Veselina Masleše Street, he caught the suspect and arrested them. On the premises of the Police Station, the suspect was identified as an S.D. (born in 1992) from Prijedor. Also, criminal investigation was performed which confirmed that the suspect did commit the criminal offence he was suspected of, and the stolen bill was found in their possession. The activities related to documenting and completing the case are in progress. After that, the report on the committed criminal offence and the suspect are going to be submitted to the District Prosecutor’s Office Banja Luka, branch office in Prijedor.
