THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR SOLVES A CASE OF AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

At today’s press conference, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior announced the results of the investigation that lasted for months and which was conducted by the members of the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with Special Prosecutor’s Office. The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Gojko Vasić, Deputy Police Director, Mr Darko Ćulum and Deputy Head of the Crime Police Administration, Mr Nedjeljko Lubura, also attended the press conference. The police officers from the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior arrested seven persons because there were grounds for suspicion that the persons committed a criminal offence of ‘Aggravated Robbery’ in the village of Cerovljani, on the motorway Klašnice-Gradiška, in September last year. On that occasion, the amount of BAM 617, 000, the property of UniCredit Bank from the city of Banja Luka, was stolen. These persons were: five members of the Special Police Unit of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior were involved in the case, namely an M. B. (born in 1983), a P. G. (born in 1988), a P. A. (born in 1987), an I. Ž. (born in 1989), a J. G. (born in 1991), and two persons from Banja Luka: a B. O. (born in 1984), who works as a co-owner of car dealership „Quattro“, and a K. D (born in 1986) who works in company “Sector Security”. The Minister said that the all the persons arrested were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Republic of Srpska Special Prosecutor’s Office. Head of the Department for Investigations and Security of the Republic of Srpska Special Prosecutor’s Office, Mr Darko Ilić, stated that it was going to be proposed that five of the aforementioned persons remain in custody whereas two aforementioned persons were going to be released pending trial. Mr Ilić noted that the criminal case was completely solved so there were no unknown facts when it comes to its commitment.
