On January 29, 2016 around 9:15 PM, the Police Station in Novi Grad received a notification from the attending doctor of the Emergency Medical Service in Novi Grad, that they attended an individual with initials F.D. (born in 1978) with injuries in the area of thorax, and that the injuries were most probably caused by a sharp object (a knife). After the notification, the police officers have arrived to the scene and confirmed the allegations. The police officers have immediately undertaken operational and tactical measures and actions to solve the criminal offence of "Grievous Bodily Injury" and finding the perpetrator of the latter. Solving the offence, police officers have found out that there was a physical conflict between the injured F.D. and individual R.B. (born in 1981) in the Miloša Obilića St. in Novi Grad, when the individual R.D. caused injuries to F.D. with a sharp object (a knife) in the area of thorax, and that he ran away in an unknown direction after committing the offence. Around midnight, the police officers have found and apprehended the suspect in Karađorđa Petrovića St., Municipality of Novi Grad, and after completing the criminalistic processing confirmed that the suspect has committed the criminal offence. Police officers have found and seized the object that was used to commit the criminal offence (a knife) at the possession of the suspect, which will be used in further processing as evidence. Documenting and completing the case is in process, after which the District Prosecutor’s Office Banja Luka, Field Office Prijedor, shall be delivered a report on the committed criminal offence of "Grievous Bodily Injury" against the perpetrator.
