The Republic of Srpska

In Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Instrument of the European Commission for Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX), is organizing a two-day workshop whose topic is ‘Conducting investigations in cases of corruption and cooperation with prosecutor’s offices’. In addition to the representatives of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, representatives of judiciary and ministries of the interior from France, Italy, Romania and Slovenia are going to share their experiences. The aim of the workshop is to improve the knowledge on the legal framework and practice within EU in the field of countering corruption, manner of conducting investigations, and prosecuting in the cases of corruption, with special emphasis on cooperation between law enforcement bodies and prosecutor’s offices. At the workshop, topics related to legislative and strategic frameworks in countering corruption, investigation techniques, methodology and proving cases, practice and challenges of conducting investigation and procedures in detecting and proving criminal offences of corruption are going to be discussed. Also, several case studies in the field of corruption from different countries are going to be presented at the workshop.
