Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, said that the ceremony of re-opening the reconstructed Ferhad Pasha mosque in Banja Luka, attended by several thousand of believers and many guests, was held without incidents. He pointed out that, since there were a lot of believers gathered, members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior were still on their positions and that they would continue to do so until all the people leave the location. ‘On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior for completing this task successfully. I expect it will remain so until the end of the day’, Minister Lukač said. Minister added that 120 buses and several dozens of vehicles had arrived in Banja Luka today, and that it was estimated that between 6,000 and 8,000 people attended the re-opening of the Ferhad Pasha mosque. ‘Today, Banja Luka sent messages of peace, coexistence and tolerance thus showing it was opened for all citizens’, Minister Lukač said. He reminded that securing the gathering was a great challenge for the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior because there were many guests and believers who attended the ceremony.
