The Republic of Srpska

Today, on 23 November 2016, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, met with Geeta Narayan, the UNICEF resident representative in BIH.             It was the first official visit of the UNICEF representative, Ms. Geeta Narayan, to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. On this occasion, she pointed out and commended the extraordinary cooperation of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and UNICEF.             Mr. Lukač expressed his gratitude to UNICEF for providing assistance to the Ministry through projects in the past which are of great importance for police work with minors.             In the past, UNICEF donated the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior technical equipment and equipped rooms for the interrogation of minors in criminal investigation on several locations, and successful cooperation was continued through the project ‘’Justice for Every Child’’.             This visit is the proof of a good cooperation, and the readiness for continuing and improving this cooperation in future was pointed out at the meeting.
