The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Administration for Organized and Serious Crime, is performing the operative action, whose code name is ‘’Diesel’’, based on suspicion that several persons committed the criminal offence of ‘’Organized Crime’’ related to the criminal offence ‘’Serious Theft’’ against the ‘’Gacko’’ Mine and Power Plant.             Within this action, the entire territory of the municipality of Gacko was blocked, and 32 locations were searched.             In these activities, implemented according to the warrant of the Special Department for Countering Corruption, Organized and Serious Forms of Economic Crime of the Republic of Srpska Prosecutor’s Office, 32 persons related to the aforementioned criminal offences were arrested.             There are grounds for suspicion that persons were stealing oil for the ‘’Gacko’’ Mine and Power Plant in organized and continuous way for a long period of time.             Police officers of the Police Administration and Trebinje and Istočno Sarajevo Public Security Centers are also participating in today’s activities.
