A CADET OF THE POLICE ACADEMY WAS THE FIRST ONE TO REACH HOLY CROSS

A cadet of 18th cadet class of the Police Academy of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Đorđe Rađenović, was the first one to reach the Holy Cross among 37 swimmers. The Holy Cross was thrown in the Vrbas River in the city of Banja Luka on the occasion of marking Epiphany, a great Christian holiday.  His Grace Bishop of Banja Luka Jefrem blessed swimmers, and he, together with the Mayor of the city of Banja Luka, Mr. Igor Radojičić, presented the gold coin to Mr.  Rađenović.             ’’I feel proud and want to share this Holy Cross and gifts that I received with my family, girlfriend, and colleagues from the Police Academy’’, Mr. Rađenović said. Furthermore, he said that it was his first time to swim for the Holy Cross.             In addition to Mr. Đorđe Rađenović, seven cadets of the Police Academy, as well as an inspector for police training were racing for the Holy Cross. By participating in the abovementioned event, cadets who are to become police officers continue to affirm not only the community-based policing but the cooperation with the community as well.
