The Republic of Srpska

This morning, within the ‘’Treasury’’ action, in cooperation with the Republic Prosecutor’s Office and Public Security Center Banja Luka, police officers of the Administration for Countering Organized and Serious Crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior arrested five persons, based on suspicion that these five persons along with eight persons committed a series of serious criminal offences, and some of them were unsolved more than 10 years.  The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr. Darko Ćulum, pointed out that persons, whose initials were S.S., J.K., M.M., T.K, and R.Ž., were arrested this morning. In addition, five persons were serving sentences, while three persons were fugitives. ‘’This action solved a series of robberies and criminal offences of ‘’Causing General Danger’’, including the robbery of the bank, ‘’Komercijalna banka’’, in Banja Luka, from where more than one million BAM were stolen in 2011’’, Police Director, Mr. Ćulum, said. The Head of Administration for Countering Organized and Serious Crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Darko Ilić, pointed out that police officers detected the organized criminal group consisting of 15 members, and that fugitives would be put on the wanted list. ‘’Our members searched seven locations and found weapons, explosive material, and means for committing criminal offences’’, the Head Ilić said. In addition, he said that the arrested persons would be handed over to the competent prosecutor’s office. Furthermore, he said that most of these persons were sentenced for committing criminal offences in past.   The Head Ilić stressed that this Administration, after it was formed, took over all cases related to serious criminal offences. Within the ‘’Treasury’’ action, the following robberies are solved: 1.      15 December 2004, Prijedor - ‘’Tropic’’ Mall - damage 81 590, 00 BAM 2.
