700 POLICE OFFICERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR VOLUNTARILY DONATE BLOOD

Today, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr. Darko Ćulum, met with police officers who participated in the action of voluntarily blood donation.             Minister Lukač said that members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in this way showed humanity and solidarity with citizens, as well as with all those who need this precious liquid.             According to him, within the activity organized on the occasion of marking the Republic of Srpska Police Day and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, more than 700 police would donate blood during this three-day action on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.             The Director of the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the Republic of Srpska, Ms. Gordana Guzijan, said that members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior traditionally participated in this action twice a year. ‘’ In addition, they are always available when there is some emergency situation, and they always help us when we need them’’, Ms. Guzijan said. A member of the Police Station for Traffic Safety Banja Luka, Mr. Zoran Kokan, said that he donated blood 29 times, and that he was always ready to participate in this humanitarian action. ‘’I feel great when I donate blood since it is important that as many citizens as possible participate in these actions’’ Mr. Kokan said, and he urged all those who could donate this precious liquid to participate in this action and thus save somebody’s life.
