MINISTER LUKAČ SIGNED THE AGREEMENT ON ASSIGNMENT OF EUROPOL LIAISON OFFICERS

800x600 The Republic of Srpska Minister of Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, has signed today in Sarajevo the Agreement on Assignment of Liaison Officers to EUROPOL (European Police Office) with the Minister of Security of BiH, Mr Dragan Mektić and the Minister of Interior of FBiH, Mr Aljoša Čampara. Minister Lukač has emphasised that the following step is the definition of joint contact points that liaison officers will use to forward information, in order to enable all the agencies in BiH to receive the information on time. Minister Lukač has stated that the cooperation with EUROPOL will provide high quality information we have not had so far and the exchange of such information will result in organization of many successful operations in prevention of trafficking in human beings, firearms, drugs and counter-terrorism. Federal Minister, Mr Aljoša Čampara, has emphasised the fact that, by signing this Agreement, Bosnia and Herzegovina joins the group of 700 police agencies from 40 countries cooperating with EUROPOL. Mr Dragan Mektić, Minister of Security of BiH, said that the Presidency of BiH has recently adopted a technical agreement precisely defining the rights and duties of liaison officers.
