The Republic of Srpska

Today, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, met with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to BIH, Mr Edward Ferguson. At the meeting, they discussed the security situation in BIH and worldwide, with particular focus on terrorism. On this occasion, Minister Lukač informed the Ambassador about the security situation in the Republic of Srpska, as well as the activities being undertaken in the field of countering terrorism and extremism. They discussed the successful bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Embassy of Great Britain developed through different projects, and especially through the multi-year project ’’Strengthening Capacities of Crime-Intelligence Systems and Intelligence-led Policing in State and Entity Police Agencies’’. At the meeting, they concluded that it was necessary to continue good cooperation in future, as well to strengthen the operational data exchange between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and Great Britain.
