The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior is included in the Peer Review Mission on Criminal Procedure and Organised Crime implemented from October 9-13 by the European Commission during the EU pre-accession period of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The focus of the Peer Review Mission, apart from the review of the existing strategic and legal framework and institutional structure and law enforcement capacities, will be on the analysis of certain finalized cases in BiH, i.e. five cases in the Republic of Srpska.After the submission of official request for EU accession, this Mission represents a mechanism that is used to collect information about certain areas. The report on estimation of condition in that specific area and its accordance with EU requirements is made afterwards.The coordination of all activities is implemented by the Ministry for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, and apart from the representatives of the MoI, there are also the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, RS Agency for Seized Property Management, Centre for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Srpska, RS Supreme Court and the Republic Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Srpska.
