Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, and Head of Police Administration Bijeljina, Mr Žarko Ćosić, officially opened the reconstructed facility of Police Station ‘’Bijeljina 2’’. On this occasion, the reconstructed facility of Police Station was consecrated.  In his speech, Minister Lukač emphasised that the need for opening one more police station in Bijeljina appeared due to the large movement of population and necessity to improve the security situation in this city. Minister Lukač concluded that the security of citizens of the Republic of Srpska was satisfactory and pointed out that the number of criminal offences was decreasing while number of criminal offences being solved was increasing as the result of work of police officers. He emphasised the importance of operative actions conducted in previous period with the aim of countering organised crime. Furthermore, he said that the police, in cooperation with other police agencies, would continuously perform activities in countering terrorism. Deputy Head of Police Administration Bijeljina, Mr Jovica Vasilić, said that the police in Bijeljina would now have better conditions to perform their tasks professionally in order to maintain the security of citizens.   Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
