On the occasion of Slava of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior, Saint Archangel Michael, the Police Training Administration organized Open-Door Day for children attending pre-school institutions, pupils of elementary and secondary schools, and a workshop for Police Academy cadets on the topic ”Assistance to Disabled Persons”.On this occasion, the Police Academy cadets of the Class XIX have displayed a part of police skills the cadets use for training, as well as the equipment and aids used by the Republic of Srpska Police.Young visitors paid particular attention to the armament cabinet at the Police Academy, criminalistics cabinet and the museum exhibition of the Republic of Srpska Police. They also had the opportunity to observe demonstration of suspect apprehension in the apartment, as well as apartment search.The visitors have also heard a short lecture on the safe use of Internet presented in practical examples.Members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the RS MoI were also present at the Open-Door Day. They showed official police dogs to the visitors and presented the activities and actions they can perform.At the same time, a workshop entitled ”Assistance to Disabled Persons” was in progress. It was organized by the employees of the Institute for Physiotherapy Medicine and Rehabilitation ”Dr Miroslav Zotović”.The purpose of this workshop was to teach the cadets about the basic techniques necessary to provide assistance to persons using wheelchair.The cadets were able to learn about wheelchair as moving aids, as well as the method of transferring a disabled person in the wheelchair.    Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
