MINISTER LUKAČ HELD A MEETING WITH POLISH AMBASSADOR

Republic of Srpska Minister of Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, held today in Banja Luka a meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Andrzej Krawczyk.On this occasion, Minister Lukač introduced the Ambassador with the organizational structure of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior, and the structure of law enforcement agencies on BiH level.During the discussion regarding the activities and investigations carried out by the RS Ministry of Interior, Minister Lukač pointed out the cooperation with EUROPOL. The implementation of the Agreement on appointment of Europol liaison officer is expected in the beginning of the next year, as well as the establishment of joint contact point within the BiH Ministry of Security.Minister Lukač introduced the Ambassador with the latest updates of the AFIS system, as well as the importance of the work of the Ministry with regard to submitting data into the database of this system and the advantages of using the latter in the work of law enforcement agencies.Ambassador Krawczyk expressed interest in political situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, and Minister Lukač assessed the political situation as satisfactory and stable, and pointed out that the Republic of Srpska Government regularly services its commitments.They both agreed that the cooperation between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior needs to be further developed, and expressed mutual readiness for establishment of bilateral cooperation in the following period.
