The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior appeals to the citizens to celebrate the upcoming holidays peacefully and with dignity. We particularly appeal to drivers to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol during the New Year and Christmas holidays, in order to increase their personal safety and the safety of other participants in traffic to a higher level. Also, we kindly ask you not to use firearm, firecrackers and other pyrotechnical devices, in order to avoid public disturbance, self-injuries and injuries to other persons. During the holidays season, when it is expected higher presence of citizens and tourists in public places – squares, streets, restaurants and cafes, shopping centers and similar, the police officers of the RS MoI will intensify their work in the field and increase their activities in all segments of work. In case the citizens notice anything that might pose a threat to else’s security, we advise them to immediately inform the police officers or call the free phone number 122. The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior hereby wishes Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to all the citizens of the Republic of Srpska, with the wish to spend the holidays in peace, prosperity and in good spirit.
