The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, has commended police officers Radenko Cvjetkovic, Sifet Okić, Kasim Beganović and Slađan Dačić, who, selflessly and bravely, have saved five human lives in the past two days, and showed once more the humanity and self-sacrifice of the police work. Namely, on 01 January 2018, at about 20:35, police officers from the Doboj 2 police station, Radenko Cvjetković and Sifet Okić, pulled out three people from the river Spreča after their car went into the river. On 01 January 2018, at about 21:45, a police officer from the Police Station Gradiška, Kasim Beganović, intervening quickly and efficiently, pulled out from the water a person G.Đ, and saved him from certain death. On 02 January 2018, at about 00:15, a police officer from Administration for Protecting Persons and Buildings Banja Luka, Sladjan Dačić, who was not on duty, jumped into the river Sana and saved a person N.M., who had jumped from the bridge a few moments before. This way, these police officers showed that the police officers of the Republic of Srpska MoI, on or off duty, are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to save others, regardless of their religion or ethnicity, and therefore deserve this commendation.
