The Republic of Srpska

Representative of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, together with representatives of other institutions of the Republic of Srpska, attended today a meeting of the Committee for Stabilisation and Association between BiH and European Union.This is the third meeting of this joint body between BiH and EU, established to monitor realisation of the obligations defined by the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between European communities and their member states as one party, and BiH as the other. At the meeting of the Committee, representatives of the European Union and representatives of all levels of government in BiH discussed the progress of BiH in meeting the political and economic criteria of the EU accession process and the concrete implementation of the SAA in the fields of justice, freedom, security (with special emphasis on cooperation with EUROPOL, fighting against corruption, organised crime, money laundering, terrorism, visa policy, border management, asylum and migration issues) in particular from the point of view of priorities and recommendations given at previous meetings of this body and sectorial subcommittees and previous experts missions in EU and BiH.   In addition to the representatives of RS MoI, the meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Relations, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Ministry of Trade and Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Insurance Agency of the Republic of Srpska and Agency for Information Society of Republic of Srpska.
