Police officers from Zvornik Police Administration apprehended to official premises a person whose initials are M.G. (born in 1997) from Sarajevo, based on suspicion that they committed the criminal offence of ‘People smuggling’. Namely, on 25 July 2018, around 4:30 am, while performing their regular tasks, the police officers from Zvornik police administration noticed M.G. from Sarajevo who, on that occasion, was with 12 persons from Syria, Iraq and Algeria who are under suspicion of illegally crossing the border with the Republic of Serbia. The prosecutor on duty of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been informed about this. After the investigation, the abovementioned persons from Syria, Iraq and Algeria were transferred to the Service for Foreigners Affairs – Bijeljina Field Center for further actions. After completing and documenting the case, a report on the committed criminal offence is going to be submitted against the suspect for the criminal offence ‘People smuggling’.
