The Republic of Srpska

On 1 August 2018, around 2 pm, in the village of Mekote, in the municipality of Han Pijesak, police officers from Han Pijesak police station stopped and controlled a motor vehicle, brand Skoda Octavia, driven by the person whose initials are R.S. from Istočna Ilidža. During the control of the vehicle, three persons from Iran and one from Afghanistan were found and are under suspicion of illegally entering the territory of the Republic of Srpska from neighbouring countries. The prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH was informed about it, and he ordered that the persons from Iran and Afghanistan be transferred to Service for Foreigners’ Affairs Centre in Istočno Sarajevo for further proceedings and a report on the committed criminal offence 'People smuggling' to be submitted against R.S. (born in 1976).
