On Saturday, 4 August 2018, in Bačka Palanka (Serbia), the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Dragan Lukač, within the delegation of the Republic of Srpska Government, attended the marking of the Day of Remembrance of the perished and displaced Serbs in a Croatian armed action called ‘Oluja’ on 4 August 1995. The memorial service for the perished and missing persons in the action ‘Oluja’ was headed by His holiness, Serbian patriarch Irinej. After that, one of the witnesses of the suffering, Jelena Knežević, and then the presidents of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić addressed the attendees. The joint marking of the Day of Remembrance of the perished and displace Serbs in the Croatian armed action ‘Oluja’ was organized by the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia for the fourth time.
