On 29 September 2018, police officers from Lopare Police Station arrested two persons whose initials are V.V. (born in 1997) and S.L. (1997) from Zvornik, based on suspicion that they committed the criminal offence of ‘People smuggling’. Namely, as a part of undertaking operational and tactical activities on Bijeljina-Tuzla highway, in the place of Priboj, following the notification given by the citizens that the unknown driver with his passenger motor vehicle, brand ”Ford”, after noticing police officers on the highway, turned into the backyard of the family home of M.R., ran away in unknown direction, leaving his vehicle behind him.  During the control, five illegal migrants from Iran without any identification documents were found in the vehicle and there is suspicion that they have illegally crossed the border with the neighboring country. After a prompt intervention of police officers, the identified perpetrators who transported migrants were detected, and prosecutor on duty from the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH has been informed on the event.
