On 11 and 12 October 2018, in the city of Bijeljina, members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior organized the workshop on ‘Sensibilisation of police officers in reacting to security incidents against children on social networks’ in which 20 police officers participated. The aim of the workshop was introducing police officers with the phenomenology of security incidents on social networks primarily against children, as well as modalities of reacting to these incidents having in mind the framework of criminal law and criminal possibilities. During the workshop, special emphasis was put on the specificities of undertaking investigation activities while investigating criminal offences performed on or mediated by social networks whose victims are children. Together with UNICEF Office in BIH, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is realizing the third phase of the project ‘Justice for every child’, within which this workshop has been organized, and the book ‘Security incidents against children on social networks – criminalist aspect’ and the Manual for parents for prevention of negativities on social networks were issued.
