REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR STARTED THE CAMPAIGN ‘LET’S PREVENT PEER VIOLENCE‘

      Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is implementing the campaign Let’s prevent peer violence on the territory of the Republic of Srpska, aiming at elementary and secondary school pupils and their parents, teachers and school management personnel, with the purpose of prevention of peer violence cases and other forms of juvenile delinquency.      Since peer violence most often relates to school children, police officers will hold series of lectures in schools, and participate in round tables and public debates that have the objective to raise public awareness on the need for multi-sector action in suppressing this negative social phenomena.      In the period from January to September 2018, there were five cases of peer violence, four of them included physical violence and one case of sexual violence, which is two more compared to the respective period in 2017.      Campaign activities will continue until November 10, 2018.
