On November 7, 2018 around 12:45 am, during their regular control of the traffic road Čajniče-Metaljka in the place of Vlaota, municipality of Čajniče, the police officers of Čajniče Police Station found motor vehicles ”Passat 6” and ”Audi A6” and persons whose initials are V.O., V.D., P.M. and S.N. who are suspected to have committed the criminal offence of ”People Smuggling”. After finding the abovementioned vehicles, they also found eight persons next to the vehicles, and it was confirmed that four of them were migrants from Iraq and Algeria who illegally crossed the state border. After noticing the police officers approaching, the four migrants started running in the forest, whereas the remaining four persons tried to escape with the vehicles in the direction of the border crossing point Metaljka. Prosecutor on duty from the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH has been informed on the event. He ordered undertaking the necessary measures and actions for the purpose of determining facts and gathering evidence for the criminal offence of ”People Smuggling”, and to seize objects that will be examined. The illegal migrants were handed over to the BiH Border Police – Branch Office Hum in Foča for further proceedings, whereas a Report on committed criminal offence of People Smuggling will be submitted after completing the case against V.O., V.D., P.M. and S.N.   Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
