ABOUT 250 POLICE ACADEMY CADETS DONATED BLOOD

Today, on the premises of the Republic of Srpska Blood Transfusion Institute, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr. Dragan Lukač, visited the Banja Luka Police Academy cadets who voluntarily donated blood.  Minister Lukač said that the students of the Police Academy were ready to help the citizens, and that, in that moment, they were giving the best they could to save a person’s life. Minister pointed out that blood was something priceless they could give and pointed out that the young people understood the importance of participating in the action. The chief of Service for Blood Collection at the Republic of Srpska Blood Transfusion Institute, Ms Veselka Ćejić, said that the actions of voluntary blood donation had become a tradition thanks to the contribution of the young students of Police Academy. Mr Đorđe Straživuk, a cadet from Banja Luka, participates in the action for the third time in the action of voluntary blood donation. He said that humanitarianism was one of the primary characteristics of police vocation. Ms Kristina Joćić, a cadet from Doboj, said she had donated blood four times so far and she appealed to all citizens to participate in these activities. Every year, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior organizes the actions of voluntary blood donation on the occasion of Police Day and the Slava of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, and 250 Police Academy cadets participated on this occasion.   Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
