The Republic of Srpska

In the period from 12 to 14 November, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior has organized a workshop ”Assessment of joint training programme for investigators, prosecutors and judges”. It was organized in the framework of IPA 2013 project ”Support in countering money laundering” and it gathered representatives of competent institutions with the aim of strengthening their cooperation in the area of countering money laundering. The workshop objective was carrying out a comprehensive analysis and drafting materials for future trainers in this area. Some of the issues discussed during the workshop were seizure of proceeds of crime, international cooperation in countering money laundering, manners of collecting evidence, formal procedures, undertaking investigative actions and analysis of practical examples. Apart from the RS MoI police officers, the workshop participants included representatives of SIPA, BiH Prosecutor’s Office, Special department for countering corruption, organized crime and serious forms of economic crime of the RS Prosecutor’s Office, district prosecutor’s offices in the Republic of Srpska, and representatives of the prosecutor’s office and court from Austria, who contributed to the workshop with their experience in countering money laundering.
